Austrian FA – coach education at the highest level
22 February 2010 – The Austrian FA (Österreichischer Fußball-Verband, ÖFB) hosted a very successful coach education seminar at Maria Enzersdorf near Vienna.
From 22-24 January 2010, 392 coaches from all over Austria, plus a great number of foreign guests including AEFCA President Dr. Jozef Vengloš, got together for the three-day event.
ÖFB Director of Sports, Willi Ruttensteiner, gave a presentation on the Austrian match and training philosophy, while national head coach Didi Constantini provided those present with an analysis of his team’s performance in 2009. Paul Gludovatz and Gerhard Schweitzer (both SV Josko Ried) spoke about continuity and sustainability in coaching and team development. Finally, NSCAA Director of Coaching Development Jeff Tipping gave an insight on the rapid development of soccer on the other side of the Atlantic.
