Bosnia and Herzegovina to become 45th AEFCA member
28 May 2010 – At the Executive Committee meeting of the umbrella organisation of European coaches organisations, AEFCA, held in Coverciano (Florence) on 24-25 April 2010, those present decided to grant official membership status to the ‘Coaches Organization of Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’ with effect from 1 July 2010.
In his capacity of coaches’ chairman and director of the national FA’s (FFBH) training centre, Munir Talović proudly pointed out that to date, almost 800 coaches have been admitted to seminars and courses leading up to the three UEFA licence levels (PRO, A, and B). All those involved continue to be committed to training and educating many more candidates who will add to the ranks of qualified coaches within the new member organisation.
Established as recently as 1992 (with full FIFA membership granted in 1996), the FFBH currently holds 51st place in the FIFA National Teams Ranking. To qualify for EURO 2012 in Poland/Ukraine, the national team has been drawn into group D where it is joined by France, Romania, Belarus, Albania, and Luxembourg.
