England’s LMA becomes AEFCA member no. 43
21 July 2009 – Following the AEFCA Executive Committee’s unanimous approval of the English League Managers Association’s (LMA) application for membership at its spring meeting held in Cyprus in March 2009, The Netherlands are no longer the only nation to be represented by two coaches’ bodies within the AEFCA.
Founded in 1992, the LMA represents the interests of football managers working in the four professional leagues in England including the Barclays Premier League as one of most popular leagues worldwide.
In October 2008, Fabio Capello took over the role of LMA President from Steve McClaren , a non-executive position traditionally held by the incumbent England Manager. Other board members and in charge of management are former AEFCA Vice-President Howard Wilkinson (Chairman), Richard Bevan (Chief Executive) and Graham Mackrell (Administration Manager).
