News at a glance (19)

23 June 2014 – The annual survey conducted by our English member organisation LMA (League Managers Association) together with Castrol, its Official Performance Partner, has managers and head coaches from England’s top four tiers, as well as their counterparts from almost 20 European leagues, share their views on current issues which affect the modern game.

The findings have been summarised in a comprehensive, 56-pages report (The LMA’s Annual Castrol European Managers & Coaches Survery 2014) and are now available for download.

• The latest editions of the publications produced by our colleagues from England (LMA), Finland, France, Italy, and Norway can now be viewed or downloaded by navigating to “Member Organisations” => “Publications”.

• Please check out the “Dates & Events” section that has been updated to present the key data you need to know about upcoming major events hosted or organised by FIFA, UEFA, or individual member organisations. And do let us know about any interesting project you hear about. We’ll be glad to include any useful information on these pages.

• The German coaches’ body BDFL (Bund Deutscher Fussball-Lehrer), previously accommodated in Frankfurt, will take up its new residence in Wiesbaden from 1 July 2014. Please find the new BDFL address and contact under “Member Organisations”.

Gaioz Darsadze, President of the Georgian coaches’ body GFCA, was 50 on 19 June 2014 – our kindest regards and once more best wishes for many happy returns to our colleague from Tbilisi!

• News of changes at our Luxembourg member body ALEF have (rather inexplicably) taken quite a while to reach us – in February 2014, Serge Bix succeeded former President (now Honorary President) Jacques Müller. Maurice Spitoni was elected Vice-President, with Egide Thill assuming the functions of Secretary.
