UEFA honours AEFCA Vice-President Sivek
18 October 2013 – At the UEFA coach education workshop recently held in Budapest, UEFA bestowed a special award on long-time AEFCA Vice-President Dr. Zdenĕk Sivek (73) for his outstanding record in the field of coach education in Europe.
Sivek’s input to UEFA began in 1998 when he joined the European football governing body’s Technical Development Committee as well as the Jira Panel. In that capacity, he was frequently sent out on missions to assist various East-European member associations with their coach education programmes.
UEFA’s Chief Technical Officer Ioan Lupescu and Frank Ludolph, Head of Football Education Services, were in charge of the award ceremony that was attended (and, needless to say, applauded) by a great number of colleagues.
The AEFCA has benefitted from Sivek’s vast experience and extensive know-how since 1995; he was a co-opted Executive Committee member until 2001 before becoming one of the alliance’s Vice-Presidents.
