The city of Turin (Italy) has been selected to host the Nitto ATP Finals from 2021-2025. The five-year agreement will allow the best players in professional tennis to compete for the world’s top indoor title at Turin’s Olí Pala Alpitour Stadium, the largest indoor sports facility in Italy.
Turin’s winning bid was submitted by the Italian Tennis Federation and Sport e Salute SpA in collaboration with the Government of Italy, the City of Turin and Regione Piemonte. After being held for six years in London, Turin will host the ATP Finals in Italy for the first time in its 50-year history and makes the transalpine city the 15th to host the prestigious season-ending tennis tournament since 1970.
In this webinar, we will talk about how a city benefits from a mega sport event to promote the region, how Turin’s bid was developed, how the preparations have evolved (they were awarded the candidacy before Covid) and the promotion that comes with a sport event of this nature.
